Pacific North West

It's been over 6 months since our little road trip up north, and well.... I still find myself wanting to return. It's a very strange feeling that I've never experienced before. I mean, I've visited other states which I have enjoyed, but never felt the feeling I still hold for Oregon. I constantly find myself dreaming about our trip and how I oh so much wish I was back there.  I can totally see myself living up North, on a small piece of land, with an alpaca or two, and just being barefoot and living a hippie life.  I have never pictured myself living outside of Southern California, but now.... I totally want to live in Oregon.  Maybe I'm just fantasizing and being unable to separate the fact that, we were on vacation. Living life up there would not be a vacation, but it kinda would to me! Oregon was just so beautiful, the people were so nice, the weather was great (I love the rain), the pizza was AMAZING... but could I actually live there? I've talked this over with Alex many times, asking him if I'm crazy and only imagining things to be better than they really were. But, Alex totally agrees with me, which makes things worse. I just want to finish school, pack up all my belongings, and set out for a new adventure up North. Maybe I'm crazy.... well, I actually know I'm crazy. So, why not give this some serious thought? Here's some more pics of my trip up North.... isn't it beautiful?

Giving thanks and getting older

Thanksgiving was a week ago and I spent the day with my parents like I do every year. It's always at my mom's house and it's just a regular dinner, except we pig out a little more than usual. Jovani came over and had a second thanksgiving, as he does every year.
That same weekend my mom threw a little bday dinner for my 26th birthday. I usually don't like celebrating my birthday(and I still don't), but this year it seemed like I celebrated it for a whole week.  I went out with friends, had dinner with Panda and had my pozole dinner. I can't believe I'm already 26 :( it's definitely not easy getting older.
Thanks to everyone who helped me celebrate. I promise this will be the last year. ps, can you see all my white hair?!?!?!?!
Here's a pic of my Nina and Dad. Can you say sexual tension?
And here are a couple of pup pics. Tankie was such a big help while I was putting up the christmas lights at my parents house. And the second pup belongs to my neighbors. Which I kidnaped.
Happy Holidays!!!

Halloween

Halloween is my favorite holiday. Dressing up and decorating my parent's house and my apartment make me happy. This year I decided to be a vampire and Alex decided to be one as well. It was totally last minute and I forgot so many little details (like putting the fog machine out for trick or treaters), but I guess thats why I kept having nightmares about forgetting to decorate or forgetting to buy a costume. I usually dress my brother in crazy outfits, and this year was no different. He was "El Chacal", from this crazy awesome espanol tv show called Sabado Gigante.
On Halloween night, I gave out a bunch of candy with the family and a few friends came over. My bootylicious ghetto fab Nina also came over to hit on the youngin's. We ate nachos and spinach dip and talked chisme. It was a  fun night, except Panda didn't make it since he worked late. But, we did get to dress up and go to a Halloween party together. So, here are the pics of both Halloween and the Halloween party:
Happy Halloween!!! :)

Texas

I've been back from Texas for a few weeks, but I've been a tad too busy to update the blog. School sucks big time. I hate it. But, it must be done. I'm even contemplating quitting my job to make time for all my reading/studying/homework/napping/cleaning. It's becoming overwhelming. Any-who... Texas was fun. It was nice spending time with Bennie. Here are my pics from my trip (I was so sad that I forgot my real camera at home!)
I already miss this little monster. Can't wait for the next time I can visit. ;)

End of summer

I can't believe it's almost the end of summer. I start school in exactly one week and feel both excited and nervous. This summer was the best I have ever had. It was so fun and filled with adventure. I still wish I could go back on vacation and find my wanting to go back north a little too strong. But, I will return one day and look forward to it. Friday I will be flying out to Texas to celebrate my nephews birthday.
Here are some pics as of late

back to reality

Today was my first day back to work, back to my responsibilities and bills. It's crazy to think that I finally went on my Crater Lake vacation, a trip I have been planning for the past three years. It's hard to believe I finally went through with my plans this summer and let me tell ya, it was worth it!!! I absolutely positively had the best time and had quite the adventure. Our trip started out a little rocky, but that only lasted a day or two and those days were still fun. We got almost every type of weather (rain, snow, hail, overcast days and extreme heat days too).  I already catch myself (and Alex too) planning our next trip and can't wait for more crazy adventures to come. Here are some pics of our journey (I wont post all 1,500 pics I took) :

We started our trip heading north and camped one night at Shasta Lake. I wouldn't mind coming back and camping here again. It was beautiful!
The next day, We got to crater lake. It was a bit over cast the first day, the second it snowed like crazy (which I didn't mind one bit. Who knew we would be having snow ball fights, sledding and making snow angels in late June?) and on the third day, the view was beautiful!
And here are some Oregon pics
After Oregon, we headed to Washington and even saw some Twilight sights (horrible right?!?!)
Then, we decided to go to Yellowstone and even stopped in Idaho and rented some Jetskis.  Idaho was also a beautiful state (which I was not expecting)
After Yellowstone we started heading back home and stayed one night at both Salt Lake City and Vegas. It was sad coming home, but I was glad to see my mom, dad and sugga momma. Cant wait for our next trip!!!
