Sunday Funday

This Wednesday is my mother's 47th birthday so we decided to throw her a little birthday BBQ/slip n slide party which turned into a surprise party. Unfortunately we were running a little late and one guest arrived before the rest of us; he was a little upset about having to wait outside on this beautiful California day, poor thing! :

It wasn't as hot as we were all hoping it would be, so we all chickened out of going on the slip n slide except for the young souls.  Andrew and Jerry (Paul's nephew, isn't he so cute!?) had a great time despite the weather.

Of course he got a little more comfortable and decided to give Alex a little dance.

 The kids got bored and it was almost time for my mother to come home, so we all hid waiting for her arrival. She was VERY surprised!

Now it was time to get the party started! My Nina and her cub even showed up to help us celebrate!

After dinner we went inside to sing happy birthday and eat some cupcakes and ice cream. 

Didn't my cupcakes turn out so cute? I decided to put my Cricut to use!

My mother really didn't turn 50, but I like to tease her about her old age. So she received the 50 cupcake, Jovani got the rat(because he's a RATA! j/k), my dad received the penguin of course, Alex..the panda, Ashley... the lion? My nina...a fox (because she's foxy) Sergio... Bambi, Paul... koala, Janet...the crab (this was Paul's idea, I think she's more like a caterpillar) And Andrew got the sheep even though he should have ate the frog.

ohh and Jovani, as soon as you went home, Andrew found your ice cream, licked it and put it back in the freezer!!

Sucker!!

Yesterday was fun and got me excited for the summer. Can't wait to have more BBQ's, dinner outdoors, photo shoots with Andrew outside and beach days!!! Overall it was a great night except for the fact that I totally forgot about making the funnel cakes! I guess we'll have to have a funnel cake party soon! :)

These past few weeks

The day before Alex had his wrist surgery, we decided to go to his Mom's house and wash his motorcycle with hopes of selling it on craigslist. Here are a few pics of our fun day.

24 hrs later, Alex is getting ready for his 4.5 hour surgery and longest day of my life. ugh...

And.... I also got some great news yesterday!!!!  Finally going to transfer and going to my first choice school. Yes, I took the scenic route to get here. :)

AND...my sister Ashley got into Cal Poly Pomona!! So exciting.

2 posts in one day!?!?!? yes, something very interesting happened to me this morning. Well, I guess it's not that interesting since it has happened before but, it's worth blogging about! This morning I woke up to a text from a friend, a picture message to be exact. This was the pic:::

This picture needs a little back story, A few moths ago I made a little bet with a friend (who asked not to be named) let's just call him Paul, the bet was:the person who sent a picture of a human poop first would win. I won with a picture of my little brothers poop (I deleted the pic) but Paul sent me a pic of his a few days later. And another this morning. So the moral of this story is: DO NOT MAKE POOP PIC BETS!! They will haunt you and wake you at 7 in the morning! Also, I apologize for this disgusting picture, I promise this will be the last! :)

Easter

Here's my first post!!!!!!
Yesterday was Easter and I spent the day with my family. Here are a few pics to summarize my day:

I baked these cupcakes for the family.

My brother( Andrew) let me take a few pics of him int he backyard. My mother is so proud.

Then my mother decided she needed to teach my little brother and sister how to dance real proper. Mexican proper that is!

I LOVE taking pics of people while they eat, so here are a few beauties. 

My mother (who once was very festive and loved holidays) has now been lazy and uses the excuse that we are "too old" for certain things like Easter egg hunts and Halloween costumes. So I made the executive decision to buy some eggs and filled them with goodies and had my parents hide them in the backyard like the old days. Tank even joined in on the fun.

This Easter was great besides the fact that Alex just had surgery and wasn't able to join us this year. This is how he spent his Easter. Sorry for posting Panda! ;)
